Broadcast and Compact HD Cameras

We offer general maintenance and repair on all levels of 1/2” and 2/3” Sony and Panasonic broadcast cameras. We offer camera and lens shading services, as well as facilitating warranty repairs and providing support for compact HD camcorders.

What’s more, we provide services for your complete equipment package, so you can enjoy the convenience of a one-stop facility that maintains your entire equipment package from camera to lenses, monitoring to batteries and accessories cabling.

Our optical technicians provide a full range of services for all HD and cine-style lenses, including new sales preps.

Digital Cinema Cameras

We offer comprehensive services for Phantom, ALEXA, Canon and Sony camera systems, including complete package maintenance and technical support. We provide critical operational checks on all camera and accessory functions, sensor cleaning, flange focal depth setting, lens collimation, matching and shading services. We also offer a wide range of accessory solutions to address many of the technical challenges you may encounter in this continuously evolving field.

We further support Digital Cinema production with a full range of services for large sensor HD cine optics from Carl Zeiss, Canon, Fujinon, Angenieux, Cooke and Schneider, as well as other manufacturers. AbelCine offers a wide range of optical services and lens maintenance programs.

In addition, we offer our Platinum Prep on all new Arri ALEXA, Phantom Flex, Canon C500 or Sony F55 / F65 digital cinema cameras purchased from AbelCine.

HD Monitoring, Decks and Engineering Accessories

We offer electronic repair, calibration and general maintenance on a wide array of broadcast monitors and decks from Panasonic and Sony. We also support ancillary engineering equipment such as format converters, signal generators and associated cabling.

Additionally, we offer monitor calibration services for critical imaging applications. We offer full service CRT, LCD and plasma calibration utilizing the VideoPro VP403 system.

Aaton Film Equipment

As Aaton Camera’s exclusive US agent, we provide factory level maintenance and support for Aaton Penelope, Xterà and XTR film cameras. We have a large parts inventory on hand in both our NY and LA locations, and our techs can perform all services from scheduled maintenance to camera model upgrades.

We also offer a full range of services for Aaton package accessories including S16 and 35mm lenses.

New Equipment Prep

When you purchase a digital cinema camera—Arri ALEXA, Phantom Flex, Sony F55 / F65 or Canon C500—from AbelCine, you receive, at no additional cost, our Platinum Prep, which includes camera and accessory evaluation and compatibility checks, as well as our multi-point optical evaluation on up to five prime or two zoom lenses.

When a new professional camera system or lens is purchased from AbelCine, it leaves our hands after careful inspection and prep by one of our quality control technicians. Option board installation, pixel compensation, and loading of scene and lens files are all part of what you get at no additional cost when you purchase select models from AbelCine. We also provide full lens evaluation, which includes optical, mechanical and servo diagnostic testing.
